Just wanted to let you all know that I posted some new pictures of our boat
that I took today in town. We are finally starting to see some progress on
it (thanks for your prayers) and it looks like it will be in the water by
early next week!

Go to: www.lksanford.blogspot.com to see the new pics. Thanks

[Sanford News] Countdown to Siar: 1 month

Hi again folks. It has been a few weeks since our last update but much has happened and we are down to our last month here before leaving for Siar. It has been a very busy last few weeks but we have good news to report.

· Our house is all packed up and all 4 containers are on their way!

· The generator shed and boat dock were finished ahead of schedule!

· Our boat still isn’t finished! Wait I guess that isn’t so great. Anyway, we are a little anxious about the boat and if it can get done in time but we are confident that the Lord knows and we can trust Him with this. Please keep praying for a speedy completion.

Like I mentioned before we are down to our last month so we are tying up loose ends and getting ready to start building and see our team arrive to help out. We are very excited and looking forward to moving into the village. Drop our blogsite (http://www.lksanford.blogspot.com/) for 3 new postings of pictures of the boat, the completed genny shed and boat dock, and the packing process.

Thank you so much for your part in our lives and please continue to pray for these next few weeks as there is MUCH to plan and prepare for and a lot of work that is ahead of us. We do have a new shipping address now that we are moving, so if you are interested in having that for your records (or to send packages of snickers, JIF peanut butter, a Whopper, or a Dr. Pepper) drop us an email and we can give that to you.

Again thanks so much.

The Containers are Gone!

After a few crazy weeks of ordering, packing, stressing out, it is finally finished! All 4 containers are gone and are being shipped around to Rabaul where we will meet up with them and unload them onto the barge will take all our supplies to our village. Here are some pics from the adventure...

Picking up some of our timber from the saw mill

Loading the timber onto the container

Cooling off in the back of the container (said with insane amounts of sarcasm)

Brining all our personal stuff to pack

Will it fit? Will this ever end?

Yes! Finished and being picked up

Finally gone!

Extreme Makeover: Boat Edition

Thought we would throw in a few pics of the boat and the progress being made on it. Please keep praying that the work would be completed soon; we are now less than one month away from departure!

Building the Genny Shed and Boat Dock

The guys arrived back from Siar land and here are a few pics from their trip. They were able to complete the generator shed and a boat dock and also finish up prepping our house sites.
